GOLFING PROFICIENCY All members of Societies should be in possession of a Handicap Certificate or an E.G.U. card and observe the etiquette and rules of Golf. Whittington Heath is a very popular Golf Course and provides a fair but testing challenge. To facilitate enjoyment for all Golfers the Club encourages all visiting Societies to play Stableford rather than Medal competitions. No Texas Scrambles. When calculating tee times eight (8) minutes should be allowed for 3 balls and ten (10) minutes for 4 balls.
STARTING TIMES The 1st Tee only (yellow markers) is reserved for Societies. Please see the booking form for exact times. It is essential that Tee times are strictly adhered to and not exceeded.
MOBILE PHONES Visitors are advised to carry mobile phones on the course for use in the event of an emergency, but they must be switched off or on silent. Mobile phones must be switched off or on silent if taken into the Clubhouse. All incoming or outgoing calls must be made from outside the confinement of the Clubhouse.
KLAXON The klaxon will be used to advise all persons to leave the course whenever circumstances are considered to be dangerous to those on the course or detrimental to the good order of the course itself. If the klaxon is used to stop play, players may mark their ball or finish the hole. The klaxon will also be used to allow use of the course to restart.
