Whittington Heath Golf Club has a well supported Junior section with new members joining us this year.
The section is organised by Simon Fisher, assistant by Len Brock, Vanessa Humphries and the Professional, Mike Raj.
We compete in the south East Staffordshire League and there are regular matches with Clubs in the area arranged during the year.
The Juniors regularly meet on a Friday evening during the Summer (Sundays during the Winter period). This allows the Juniors to develop their skills and etiquette.
The Club is currently working towards the 'Golfmark' accreditation
YOUNG JUNIOR
The purpose of this category is to encourage parents to bring their children to the Club in order that they can get a feel for the game of golf, the eventual outcome of which would be to become a member of the Junior section
We do have one or two specific rules that govern Young Juniors and these are that they must not play unless accompanied by a relation or qualified member of WHGC who will assume full responsibility for their welfare, they cannot play on their own or with other members of the Junior section under the age of 14 and Young Juniors can only enter competitions specifically arranged for them
The annual subscription is payable on the 1st October.
Young Juniors 6 - 13 years of age - £50
Juniors 13 - 17 years of age - £170.00
An entrance fee is payable at age 18 when transferring to Intermediate section which will be dependent upon the current rate at the time.
There is no waiting list at present
